Linus

Linus has been looking for a home for a whole year, and we know he was at the shelter already for a couple weeks before we scooped him up. Linus spent a couple months in a foster home where we learned so much about him, but he has spent the majority of one whole year in boarding looking out a small window, waiting for his chance to go outside each day. One whole year and Linus’s happy spirit hasn’t faltered once. We think that says a lot about who Linus is.

We know that Linus had a registered microchip, but no one ever came back for him. We know that at some point he had half his ear ripped off and he is (understandably) not comfortable around other dogs. We know he has been maced in the face, yet he loves every person he meets. We know he is good with children, in fact he gravitates right to them. We know he has tons of training, is super smart, and eager to please. We know that Linus loves fetch, playing in sprinklers and lying directly on top of you for cuddles. We know when Linus is really really content he sprawls out on his belly front feet tucked in like a wee little lamb and then he rolls on his back for scratches. Linus is go with the flow. Want to be super active and go hiking? Linus is ready. Want to watch Netflix all day and be cozy on the couch? Well he is ready for that too! He is happy to do anything, with his people by his side.

Linus needs to be the only dog in your home. He can be reactive towards other dogs, but adopting Linus comes with lifetime training, and he has lots of tools to help him with that, in fact his trainer has no issues with his reaction to other dogs, and he could even train side by side with another dog. Linus is estimated five years old and 60lbs. He is crate and house trained, but can also be left out unattended without being destructive. Recently we took Linus to an event filled with tons of people and he greeted everyone happily, even the tiny babies, and he was never overwhelmed at all. He was a champ.

We could list a million ways Linus is spectacular, (even his trainer thinks so btw) but in over a year we haven’t been able to convince a single person to even come meet him so they can see for themselves.

What we know more than anything else is how much Linus deserves his happily ever after. Linus needs his person to find him.
