Fig
Let’s talk about FIG.
Fig is 1 year old and a whopping 36lbs of silly goose. If you cannot already tell from her pictures this girl is FUN. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly and honestly leans so much on her dog friends that we are looking for a forever home for Fig with another dog already In it. Fig has truly meme worthy faces and does even the most basic things with a pizzaz that will keep you laughing. She also LOVES the water in all its forms, and a kiddie pool or sprinkler will make her day complete.
Fig is all the things, but she also has a lot of fears she is working through. She was found as a stray covered head to toe in ticks and fleas at probably only around 9 months old. She was a shut down statue, that is until she saw other dogs. Every morning when the shelter workers got there and she was let out Fig would walk up to each and every kennel to say hi and try to make friends and in those moments flashes of the goofy girl we know would appear.
Fig has been learning all things dog in her foster home and we are so impressed with her progress and so grateful for her foster fam for going above and beyond to help her. Fig has lots of basic commands down pat and is also crate and house trained. Quirky Fig struggles the most with slippery hardwood floors and going through spooky doorways. We imagine that Fig has probably never spent any time in a home before this. Fig has worked with a trainer to help her overcome her fears, and is even starting up group classes to help continue to build her confidence. In the meantime, this sweet petite girlie is looking for a forever family to be patient with her and show her what being a Swampie is all about!
