Brenda
Brenda, now Brennie, is loving adopted life, and we are here for every second of it.
Brenda sat at the shelter overlooked for month after month. Then one day masses were discovered during an exam that raised red flags, and the shelter started sending out pleas to get Brenda into a rescue where she could get more thorough vet care. It took us truly just seconds to meet Brenda and see what a gem of a dog she was and we loaded B into our car that day, knowing full well her masses could be cancerous.
Lots of testing later, and a mammory chain removal later, and Brennie was cleared of any spooky thing that she could have had. She was a total rockstar through and through. She handled everything with grace - heartworm treatments, surgery, Swampie events, she was even on the news! Everywhere she went people gushed about how good she was, how she had the empathy of a therapy dog even, yet she had zero applicants.
Then one day a lady reached out looking for a friend. She had a list of questions about Brenda and it seemed like Brenda checked all her boxes, and this lady seemed to check all of Brenda’s boxes right back.
Now Brenda spends her days basking in the sunshine in her backyard, patrolling for squirrels and supervising moms gardening. It is hard to imagine what other life, more than likely a much shorter one, Brennie could have led if we had not pulled her from the shelter that day. Happy forever Brennie.
Thanks for helping us with all our Swampie magic ya’ll.
