Larry
Swamp Haven’s second cat adoption is officially in the bag!
We were looking for an emergency foster for Larry when my grandmother passed away and he had no place to go. As my grandma struggled with dementia the last few years, we’d hear about this cat named Larry but never saw him. For the longest time we even thought he was imaginary… Turns out he was just a skittish boy that spent more time hiding than relaxing, often only coming out at night when all was quiet and everyone was gone. We had a wonderful rescue offer to find him placement as a barn cat but there was something about his sweet little pink nose and big, round eyes that made us feel like we had no choice but to find him the perfect home
A good friend of ours offered to foster Larry and before we knew it, he was coming into his own and developing the most adorable little personality that I didn’t know existed. Having “known” Larry for years but never seeing this side of him, it was so heartwarming to watch him finally thrive. He’s a real cat’s cat and it turns out being part of a pack is exactly what he needed. Larry is now one of four and an official foster failure He loves to hang out with his bestie and twin Batman, play with his favorite pickle toy, sneak into the cat food cabinet, and put himself to bed when he feels it’s time.
Happy forever, Larry. Grandma would be so happy to see you living your absolute best life
