Hoagie
Hoagie waited and waited and waited. He went to lot’s of events, met lots of people, was advertised across all the places we could think of, was on TV TWICE, got professional photos taken, and even got himself a spot in the Pin Up Paws Calendar for 2026 (YAY!) Somehow Hoagie had gotten ZERO adoption interest throughout it all and we were racking our brain on new ways to try to find Hoagie’s forever person.
Then one day Hoagie’s foster was going out of town and we were able to secure a temp foster we had never worked with before for him. By the time the week was up and Hoagie was set to go back to his full time foster, his temp foster fam admitted that the house was way happier with Hoagie in it, and asked if he could stay forever.
Sometimes it just works like that. It wasn’t any of the flashy things we did (so grateful for them all though) it was just one family volunteering to help out for a week, after months of no one giving Hoagie a chance.
Hoagie’s family is head over heels. He makes the perfect road trippin, golf watching, yard sniffing, kitchen helping pup, and we are so happy he is finally living the leisurely life he has always deserved.
