Edgar Allen Poe
Edgar sat at the shelter for months, so many months in fact that we began to recognize him each time we went back. It’s so easy to overlook the dogs that sit quietly in their kennel, that don’t come right up wagging or barking, that are simply waiting for their turn. But Edgar was a heartworm positive senior and soon his time was about to be up, and not in a good way. We got a text begging the staff favorite for help and we finally SAW him for the first time
It didn’t take us long to realize why this adorable frosted fellow was a staff favorite! He’s the perfect mixture of playful couch potato and snuggly adventurer. Fast forward a few months and his foster mom seemed to agree because she sent us a “I just love him and would really like to adopt him” text and the rest was history!
Edgar spent his Christmas wrapped up in new jammies and cozy by the fire, parading around the neighborhood where he’s already famous, playing with his new cat siblings, and is ready to walk into the new year as a perfectly happy and healthy HEARTWORM FREE boy.
